I think one of the reasons is Australia and Malaysia were English colonies. Although Canada belongs to Commonwealth too, being 'physically' so close to USA, their daily languages have been influenced. I always laugh at Ed that they have been Americanised ;) Oh yes !! You are right. I do think that those terms belong to North America. And Australia also don’t use those terms too.

I think one of the reasons is Australia and Malaysia were English colonies. Although Canada belongs to Commonwealth too, being ‘physically’ so close to USA, their daily languages have been influenced. I always laugh at Ed that they have been Americanised ;)
